Hard covers, asking $5 each (they sell for $30 on Amazon). Books 11 and 12 of the October Daye series. I've read many of the previous books, but not all, but was still able to follow what was happening in this books, so I'd say you don't need to have read the previous 10 novels to follow. Both in great shape, look like new books.
October "Toby" Day is sort of a paranormal detective, working for and with supernatural creatures like the faye. In the 11th book, she is forced into undertaking a quest to find her missing sister, who disappeared decades ago, and in the 12th book her estranged daughter is kidnapped.
