Why am I on Kijiji? - GOOD QUESTION!
With my school and clinic schedule, I cannot work full time in a commercial gym. I am very committed to my studies and work privately so I may fully control my schedule - do not mistake this for unavailability! When I take something on, I commit to it fully. This includes us working together if I believe we are a good match.
I would love to sit down and chat with you to assess your goals and determine if we are a good fit!
My experience thus far includes: rock climbing (lead, bouldering), powerlifting, olympic lifting, 5-10km running distances, sprinting, cross country cycling, swimming, BBG/HIIT/VIIT (bodyweight high intensity workouts), bodybuilding (bikini-level), TRX, kettlebells, booty-training, weight loss, hockey/ringette-specific training, ski-specific training, IIFYM/macros/paleo/clean eating/meal prep, all ages and experience levels. I do NOT have a blanket program and can work with all levels of experience, ages, and abilities.
I do train some clients in person at my home, but I love helping motivated individuals get more out of their time in the gym. What I see often is hard workers, with high motivation, spinning their wheels at the gym. So I also do exclusive online training. Unfortunately, people start going longer and longer to the gym to try and get the results they desire. One main issue with this is sustainability. There is a point where its too much, and too difficult to maintain that level of commitment. So what I absolutely love is trying to find the “minimal effective dose” - why take 3 tylenol pills, if 2 works, or if even just 1 works? There is a dose-response relationship with working out, and sort of a “goldilocks” zone of not too little, and not too much work. There is no point to going and doing extra-hard workouts if it makes you binge eat at the end of the day (whether from physical hunger, or just a stress-coping mechanism!) I believe exercise should be fun, safe, challenging and exciting!
Please message me if you're interested, and THANK YOU for your consideration.
