Family-owned and operated cattle farm is starting to sell local. The beef is grain, pasture, and hay fed only and are free of hormones. They are locally raised and locally processed by a provincially-inspected butcher.
The cost is $7.50/lb. The approximate finished weight of a whole will be about 600 lbs., which means a half would be about $2,250. A half easily fits in an upright freezer by the way. It seems like a lot but the premium cuts included make it well worth it. My family and many of our friends do not buy beef at the store anymore, given the high quality and safety of this single-sourced beef.
The farming practices are sustainable and we are confident where it comes from.

A $500 deposit would be required per half and going in on it with someone else would be more than fine. We have sold to friends and family and they have loved the quality. The cuts will be freeze-wrapped, ready for consumption or freezing.
