This site is a semi-private, site is approx. 2 acres with 150 ft of waterfront. Pets "are NOT allowed" at this site (many deer fawns - see picture taken at property). No Cost. You will need to sign a waiver that you agree to use the property at your own risk (your own vehicle/home or tenant insurance).

Site includes; fire pit, boat dock, picnic table, Space for 5 tents. Site has a bit of a natural swimming hole, is weedy later part of the summer. Out-house maybe available for longer bookings.

This is a drive-up site with plenty of parking. The path to the lake and dock is flat and next to the camping area. Can camp next to the water or farther back. This site is very easy to launch your boat, canoe, and/or kayaks.

We are now accepting summer 2024 bookings for camping (see available/booked dates below).

We will be booking "Weekly Dates" this year. Earliest Check-in would be Friday afternoon, Latest Check-out would be Friday morning. This will leave a few hours between Guests. You do not have to stay for the entire week. Please let us know the Week/date you are interested in. Can book a maximum of 4 weeks in a row at this site (tiny homes can book the entire summer). If wanting less than a week (or a weekend), request the week that has the dates you are interested in.

Please read entire ad - this is for responsible people who plan to follow provincial/municipal guidelines. It is NOT a location for people to go to break the rules. Please don't ask about going and having a big get together or something similar, will not answer emails of people who don't read the ad. This is a rustic Campsite ( vacant land camping spot ), Be sure to bring everything you need with you.

This site is located on Bob's Lake. Bob's lake is a large lake that is over 16 km long, has 200 km of shoreline and has an area of ~8000 acres. Bob's is one of the largest inland lakes in Ontario and is referred to as an anglers Paradise! Great views, excellent Fishing, Hiking, Biking, Relaxing, Stargazing, and Boating. Easy water access for canoes or kayak's. Public boat launches available on the lake for larger boats. Use Google to find about fish species, fishing and boat launches on the lake.

Camp for Free - Large Waterfront lot for summer tent camping. No washroom facilities, which also means no shower. No Hydro/power, which also means NO plug-ins. Property needs to be left clean and all garbage taken away. Closest towns are; Westport, Perth, Maberly, Sharbot lake. Less than 80 km to Ottawa and ~65 km to Kingston. No Cost.

There is a picnic table and small fire pit area, but is not maintained, you should have all your own camping supplies. You cannot transfer or sell your week once booked. If you need to cancel, let us know so someone else can book.

Please don't take home the picnic table or fire pit, seems these items grow legs and walk away.

Please don't ask to book if you don't plan follow the rules. This is opportunity for Families to get away for quiet camping. This is not for people to get get together to have a wild party.

No you cannot come to cut down trees for firewood for your home.

Requirements: You will need to sign a Liability waiver, You will need to be respectful of neighbours and bylaws. You will need to provide your own porta-potty. You will need to ensure all garbage is taken away. Use of dead wood from property is allowed, except as noted (limited dead wood available).

Fall Bookings; Water level on the lake is dropped in the fall and is typically low by about 2 to 3 feet.

No camping trailers allowed, almost all municipalities in Eastern Ontario don't allow trailers except in designated campgrounds. No Trailers means "NO TRAILERS or RV's". Tent's only. Small camper Van's allowed (less than 22' long). Small glamping pods allowed. You can bring a cargo trailer to transport your supplies.

Property is not for sale. No you cannot come to cut down trees for firewood for your home or dig trees or plants for your property.

Tiny Homes - The township of Tay Valley does allow Tiny Homes just not trailers/RV's. You could park your Tiny home here for the summer, provided it meets the Township requirements including hookups (Township has 188 square feet minimum size for a tiny home).
