15K-1 RCA Victor Multi Band Tube Radio

For sale one 88 year old, RCA Victor Multi-Band Tube Radio, Model 15K-1, floor model, wood-cased, circa pre Oct. 1936. The radio is complete and has 15 vacuum tubes including a green-eye tuning tube. The case needs refinishing and the radio needs new filter capacitors as you hear a loud hum when the radio is turned on.The radio features a Magic Brain as shown in the attached pictures. Modern devices like record players, tape players, cd players, computers, and microphones could be connected to the rear of the radio to play audio through the radio's 12 inch dynamic speaker and 20 watt amplifier. This piece of Canadian made technology should be reconditioned, seen, heard and enjoyed. The radio is 41 inches high and 27 inches wide. The radio weighs 115 pounds or as some say 52 kg!
