The AV Advanced PowerStrip+ (AV APS+) reduces active and standby power loss in home entertainment setups by detecting when the TV and related electronics are not being used and turning them off. Through advanced power measurement and patented auto-threshold detection technology, the AV APS+ is compatible with all types of TVs. It works with a multi-sensor that detects infrared (IR) remote control activity and motion to determine whether the TV is being used. If no IR remote control activity or motion is detected during the countdown period, the AV APS+ turns off the TV and any electronics plugged into the switched outlets.
