Barrhill Feeders Inc. is searching for a full-time Feed Truck Driver to join our progressive and growing team. Barrhill Feeders Inc. is currently feeding 75 000 head between two feedlot operations located 10 miles North of Picture Butte, AB or 10 miles East of Barons, AB. As a Feed Truck Driver, you are responsible for utilizing our modern computerized feed delivery system to mix and deliver feed to cattle in the feedlot.

Responsibilities: - Operate and drive the feed truck and loader in a safe manner. - Feed cattle in the feedlot with a feed truck in a timely manner 3x per day. - Follow Foreman and Nutritionist ration instructions or recommendations. - Maintain silage pits daily. - Maintain feed commodities and micro ingredient inventories. - Assist with unloading of feed commodities and micro ingredients. - Daily feed mill operation and maintenance. - Shovel bunks if needed. - Maintain feed trucks and loaders in good running condition and perform light-duty equipment maintenance. - Communicate to Foreman any irregularities. - Other feedlot duties such as, but not limited to bedding, processing, yard maintenance, and driving equipment such as a skidsteer and/or loader (preferred, but not required).

Experience/Skills Required: - Valid driver’s license (Class 3 or Class 1A licenses are considered an asset). - Good attitude and team player. - Self-motivated. - Attention to detail. - Good communication skills. - Experience with operating equipment (loader, tractor, etc.). - Experience in feed mill operation, feeding and the feedlot industry (preferred, but not required). - Cattle handling skills (preferred, but not required).

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: - Driving for extended periods of time. - Repetitive tasks. - Ability to lift 60 lbs. - Combination of sitting, standing, and walking. - Combination of indoor and outdoor work. - Use of computerized feed system.

Hours: - Shift Rotation: 8 days on, and 4 days off followed by 7 days on, and 2 days off. - 5:30 AM- 4:30 PM (subject to change based on the time of year).

Transportation: - Own transportation, valid driver’s license.
