Dave Van Pelt Farms Inc. is a family owned and operated farm and feedlot near Coaldale. We are seeking a full-time feed truck driver/ equipment operator to join our small team, someone who can run a variety of equipment. Wages are dependent on experience in the range of $24-26 per hour to start. We offer a stable work environment as well as health and dental benefits. Your main tasks will be to:
• Operate a feed truck and wheeled loader
• Deliver the feed to cattle as required
• Use a computer to record the feed fed to cattle
• Maintain the feed truck and loader (may include oil changes, washing and keeping the cab and engine clean and free of debris such as straw)
• Receive grain/feed commodities
• Do general maintenance as required, and operate other equipment as needed after feeding is done
Being part of a small team means we always watch out for each other. Each of us has skills and specialties, but when someone needs help we pitch in together.
Basic Requirements:
• Able to speak, read and write English
• Communicate well with others
• Valid Class 5 drivers’ licence (but preferably Class 3 or Class 1)
