Position: Seeking a motivated and skilled individual as an Electronic Assembler. This full time, 37.5 hr/week position involves all aspects of electronic manufacturing: assembly, testing, calibration and troubleshooting and some elements of production preparation such as component inventory tracking.
Education: Completion of high school, some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training would be an asset. No certificates, licenses, memberships etc. are required. We will provide all the necessary training.
Language: Fluent English, both spoken and written. Ability to write short reports and production notes.
Skills: The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and creative individual with a proven ability to perform effectively in a multitasking role. In addition to any formal education the candidate must be comfortable with electrical/electronic circuits, tools and equipment. Good vision is essential.
Relevant skills include:
- Manual dexterity and precision
- Experience with hand tools (soldering equipment, drills, heat guns, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of electronic components
- Ability to perform simultaneous tasks in a team environment
Experience with hands-on assembly or fabrication of small devices and manual soldering (THD and SMD) would be an asset.
Other Requirements: The skills listed above require high precision and meticulous attention to detail. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate good communication and writing, verbal and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work without supervision. Working knowledge of PC based office environment (MS Word, Excel) is essential.
