Gibson Viking Les Paul electric guitar

Viking Les Paul Celtic, Norse, Pagan, Viking, Gibson… made in USA A Celtic knot pattern surround and run up the body creating a guitar shaped shield. The inner area walnut finished, has pictish animals engraved: Wolf, Raven, Snake and Stag. This transformation of mint condition closet queen 2013 LPJ. The LPJ were cool guitars because they came with a Maple neck. A feature which most Gibson’s do not have. This one in particular has a Quarter sawn maple neck. Which in tone wood terms is good because the grains are stacked vertically the length of the neck, 90 degrees to the fret board. This is a sought after quality because of strength, stability and tone. Not Every LPJ would have had a Quarter sawn neck, this one i guess was just lucky. At first it had black covered R490/T498 pickups, which are the standard for most basic Gibson Les Models. This is not a basic Les Paul. I sacrilegiously pillaged the Burst Bucker pros from a Gibson Les Paul standard. The upgrade needed to happen. If you haven’t tried BB 1&2 they’re really good in my opinion like a hotter PAF crunchy and badass at full volume and articulate and sweet at lower volumes. If my other guitar sits in its case for months so be it. The Viking takes what it needs.
