For Sale By Owner

I purchased this bass in the fall of 1973. I am the only owner. I polished it after every use. All the chrome is in awesome condition, including the butterfly keys. No smudging. Has all the hardware - ash tray, pick up bridge, black thumb rest.Natural ash body with white pick guard. Maple neck. Dot inlays. Neck is very straight and adjusts easily with a tool. All original except for some wiring I had to do back in the 90's from the jack to the controls. It has been fine since then. Always had flat wounds on it but put round wounds on it recently. Very little fret wear. Only played it about 2 times with round wounds. The body has no nicks in it, but on the back are 2 parallel fine cracks in the finish - suggesting it's age. The headstock has a small nick on the back at the top.The pick ups are very hot for a vintage guitar. The first 2 years I gigged with it and then used it mainly for personal use.

This is a very pretty Fender Precision. Serial number on chrome plate on back of neck is 542576. Bob's Guitar Service in Kitchener told me it is a 1974. I purchased it in the fall of 1973 at Steve's Music, Toronto.

If you want the vintage sound this is for you. I just like my newer 5 string basses much better. I have no pictures as of yet as I don't have a camera or smart phone. I would prefer to sell this bass to a local person. Price is $2450.00 firm. Only serious inquires please.
My pictures came off the Internet but I have the same bass. The shade of wood and grain may be different. No case included.
