Yamakis were considered by some to be the 'poor man's Martin.' This AY333 appears to be a copy of the Martin D-28, but with the bound fingerboard of a D-35. Tone-wise it's lush, loud and well-balanced, great sustain without being boomy in the low range. It's hard to describe tone, but forty-three year old wood (helped by the bone nut) has sonic qualities that you don't find in a new guitar. "
This vintage piece was bequeathed to me but I do not play guitar.
Price is firm as local musicians find this a good price.
