For sale is a 1988 Japanese made Fender HM Strat. These guitars were made by Fender from 1988-1992 and were designed to compete with similar "super-strats" made by Charvel, Jackson, Ibanez, etc. This instrument has several features not usually seen on a Stratocaster, including 24 frets, a double locking trem, 25" scale length.
These guitars in recent years have become highly sought after due to their play ability and high quality construction. When this model came out it was $100 more than the American Standard Strat.
I swapped the pickups for Dimarzio PAF, Dimarzio HS-3 and HS-4 which sound way better. The guitar really nails the Van Halen tone.
It was just setup with 9's in standard tuning by Long and McQuade.
Call or text Dan at 519-932-0295 to try out the guitar.
I will consider gear to swap
Price is $750
If you are expecting a mint guitar, then maybe move on. The body has some nicks but the neck is in great shape. It plays and sounds awesome.
Note : The Kahler Bridge: All new parts were ordered and installed, so it looks new.
