Wanted - We are looking for balls of yarn for crochet and knitting. Partial balls are also welcome!
The wool is used to knit and crochet hats, scarves and mitts for the Gleaners' project. These items are then donated to children in need.
If you wish to donate your own new knitted or crocheted items, they can be put in collection barrels in most churches, at the Schubert Centre and at the Gleaners furniture store.
There are number of people helping year-round by knitting toques and hats: hundreds a year are collected from the community. We always need wool to keep them busy — if you can help, please call Pat at (778) 475 - 4682, or respond to this ad.
Fleece fabric is also needed; if you have any, please contact Brenda via this ad, or at 250 - 542 - 3546. Any yarn or fabrics donated which do not suit our projects are passed on to other charitable organizations.
