For Sale By Owner

Offering an extremely rare 1966 Eaton’s TECO Master 6 HP Briggs & Stratton roto tiller with Power Reverse. Just put a brand new reverse belt on her. This old gal is not only in excellent running condition, but would also be an above average vintage/antique full restoration candidate. Given its condition and very good original paint, it is almost restored the way she sits. She is a heavy cast iron work horse. Completely tuned up with total carburetor cleaning and new gaskets, gas tank cleaned, oil changed new points and condenser, new muffler and superficial clean-up. Take a real close look at the lack of wear on those pristine tines/tynes. The trained eye will clearly know just how little use these tines have seen. Pretty much like when they were new 50 years ago. You’ll also be forgiven if you have never heard of or have ever seen the super rare 6 HP B&S horizontal engine.

These work horse tillers were made by Gilson Brothers and were marketed under several companies’ brands like Mongomery-Ward, Western Auto, Wizzard, TECO, Ford, Goodyear, Senator, Grainger, UNICO, Burns Aldens, Corporal, Plymouth, Smith, Nelson, Pennfield, Davis, Simpson, Lawn Chief, True-Value, Bolens, Alis Chalmers, Sperry Remington, etc. This particular model is perhaps among some of the rarest in 1966 – The TECO Model 6753-6 Serial 25069. It is believed that this was the last model year that Briggs & Stratton built and manufactured this last-of-a-kind 6 HP engine of which parts are still available today. Model 146402 Type 0179 02 Code 6512131. $425 obro. Note: Just tilled my garden today ( 2 Nov) and she worked like a charm.
