Hello, my name is Stanley. I have been a professional musician for the past 25 years from the age of 17. I hold a degree in jazz performance from St. Francis Xavier in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I have been teaching for 20 years. I received a gold medal for teaching from The Royal Conservatory of Music for the accomplishments of a classical guitar student.
I am a regular performer on the local music scene playing solo pub gigs, in various bands, hosting open stages and occasional studio work. Many of my students have gone on to successful music careers, formed or joined well known bands, pursued secondary education in music or grown their passion for their hobby. I have had great success keeping children and teenagers engaged and loving lessons and love working with adults of all levels of experience.
I tailor lessons to the needs of each individual. I enjoy getting people playing songs that are fun and relevant them. If improving theory, improvising and composition skills are your thing, I excel at and am very passionate at all of those things. Electric and acoustic students welcome. Lessons are $25/30 minutes. I teach Tuesday's at 15 115 Circle Drive, located in St. Albert's Campbell Industrial Park, just off the Campbell Drive Henday exit.
