Hi everyone!
My name is Arun Bhaumik and I am a professional musician and music/guitar teacher with 20+ years of experience.
A graduate of the MacEwan University Music Performance program in 2000, I have performed throughout Canada and I've taught students of all ages and experience. It's never too early or too late to learn music! I teach all styles of music: Jazz/Rock/Pop/Blues/Metal/Country/R&B/Soul/Reggae/Ska/Funk and more.
I am very adaptable to my students' needs and tailor my approach based on my student's learning style and the goals they are wanting to achieve. As a music/guitar teacher, I am always furthering my knowledge and understanding of music pedagogy in order to give my students the best experience possible on their musical journey. Whether you are wanting more structure or a more free form approach, I can tailor the lesson to suit your needs.
I teach Music Theory/Ear Training as well for those students interested in a deeper understanding of the mechanics of music. I do incorporate music theory and ear training into my guitar lessons as needed, but it is not a requirement and I can structure the lessons to be theory-free for those students who wish to go entirely by ear. Your ear is your most important tool as a musician.

Currently, lessons are provided either in person at my home studio in Windermere, or online through Skype/Facetime/Zoom.
Lesson rate is $33 a half hour.
