Dispatcher Job - Rocky View, AB

Must have mode of Conveyance to office in Rocky View as Bus Transit is not available as required. Remote Work : No Ability to work 8:00am to 5:00pm, Additional Hours as required Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed Work Location: In Person - Rocky View, AB

There will be 3 months probation period.

• Ability to work in a face paced environment and ability to cope well under pressure • High attention to detail and must make efforts to be resourceful • Accountability and dependability • Planning experience • Good communication and ability to make contacts with new and existing customers to secure more business • Ability to dispatch drivers using computer software • Communicate respectfully and effectively over the phone, text, and email. • Strong problem-solving skills • Respond to any issues and follow-up • Strong computer skills and ability to learn in-house computer programs • Open to development and continual learning • Knowledge of handling Owner Operators • Previous Dispatch verifiable experience is required of Minimum 2 years • Geographical Knowledge of regions in Canada and US • Knowledge of ACI/ACE • Proficient in MS Office with proven experience in data entry • Knowledge of ELD • Ensure driver's compliance with HOS and Safety regulations when dispatching • Monitor and maintain driver safety records • Prepare reports on trucking performance and productivity • Maintain working knowledge of products hauled, regulations and operating authorities • Monitor load status and communicate updates to customers and other stakeholders regarding adherence to delivery windows • Act as a communication liaison and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road • Knowledge of Intermodal will be an asset, however if not aware, will be trained • Willing to provide support and being a self starter. • Needs minimal to no supervision and provide solutions to customer’s requirements as applicable and support the team.
