Description

For the serious retro/vintage game collector this console was released in 1978 by Bally, one of the main Arcade and pinball companies, as a home Arcade system called the Bally Professional Arcade. It was much more expensive than the Atari 2600 and was built with much greater capabilities and complexity, but was marketed mostly through Computer stores and so very few were sold.

It is not only a rare console, but it is much rarer still to find one in good working order. This console and both controllers work. One controller has an upgraded cable and I've attached an external plug to the original power supply prongs to prevent wear and tear as you plug and unplug it (the power supplies are very unique and the prongs are prone to loosen).

Comes with 4 built in games and 7 Game cartridges (only 26 official cartridges were every released and this includes some of the classics like Astro Battle which is Space Invaders renamed for copyright reasons. This appears to be the 1st home version of Space Invaders with Atari only releasing their version a year later). Comes with controllers #1 and #2 (although you can use any controller in any port). Many consider these the most unique and for a lot of gamers the best controllers of that era with the knob on top controlling many additional functions like the gun direction in gunfight and the ability to choose options, etc.).

The console top can store up to 15 game cartridges as shown in one of the pictures. One picture shows the startup screen and the last picture shows Astro Battle (Space Invaders) loaded and in play.
