Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking an Intermediate / Senior Risk Assessorwho is a motivated team player to join our Cambridge office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with other members of the risk assessment team in building and developing consulting services business in environmental risk assessment, risk management, site assessment and remediation, and toxicology
  • Provide support to senior personnel on both human health and ecological risk assessments as well as associated areas such as environmental chemistry and toxicology
  • Proposal preparation and client liaison
  • Progression to leading technical aspects of projects and identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
Skills / Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in chemistry, biology, toxicology or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of risk assessment experience (human health risk assessment and toxicology, site-specific risk assessment, environmental toxicology, probabilistic exposure assessment, multi-media risk assessment, peer review and / or the development of regulatory guidance limits for chemicals in soil, air, water and other media)
  • Demonstrated project management, client management and business development skills
  • Full working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153 / 04, as amended, and all aspects of Record of Site Condition Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge of the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan risk assessment framework
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as demonstrated through report writing and presentations
