Quality Technician position available working in the QA department of a leading global manufacturer of specialized components for the automotive and other related industries. Skills, Knowledge and Education Required:
Min 3-5 years experience in a similar capacity as a Quality Technician in a related manufacturing company
Technical diploma/degree (engineering) or equivalent experience
Knowledge of quality tools and methods
Have an understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards,
organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations
and performance, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional
Have an understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and
implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements
Knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, SPC)
Have a basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning,
preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
Be able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting,
and problem solving. (8D, 5WHY)
Be able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality
principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and
Be able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard methods across a spectrum of
business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
Knowledge of ISO16949 Quality Management System.
Excellent metrology skills.
Ability to program CMM using Calypso (Zeiss) and PC-DMIS (Brown- Sharp) programs
Ability to perform metallurgical studies
