Head Coach
Battlefords Gymnastics Club (BGC) is a growing Gymnastics Club in North Battleford,
Saskatchewan. BGC offers competitive artistic and rhythmic programs as well as recreational
gymnastics, trampoline and parkour programs. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic
Head Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both
with coaching staff and with families, and bring fresh ideas and fun to the club. The ability to
plan, lead, oversee safety and troubleshoot operations is a must.
Responsibilities:
● Plan and oversee all competitive programming
● Assist the Recreational Director in the development and operation of the recreational
gymnastics program
● Mentor and supervise coaching staff
● Communicating with parents, including but not limited to; assisting in registration events,
responding to family inquiries or concerns, delivering high quality customer service
● Ability to work with children of all age groups
● Collaborate with office staff and other coaches to ensure optimal program delivery
● Approximately 20 direct coaching hours weekly
Experience and Qualifications:
● Comp 1 WAG Certified (or willing to obtain)
● Comp 1 Tramp Certified (or willing to obtain)
● Rhythmic Foundations (or willing to obtain)
● Standard First Aid and CPR-C (or willing to obtain)
● Current Risk Management/Respect in Sport (or willing to obtain)
● Must pass a current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
The successful candidate will be available to work full-time, including evenings and some
weekend hours. Starting salary will be determined based upon experience and certifications.
