WHAT IS A FAMILY-BASED CAREGIVER?
Family-based caregivers are individuals or families who can provide a home to children and youth who are unable to live with their own families and need an environment that can emphasize nurturing, relationships, care and protection with the combination of a clinically effective individualized therapeutic program otherwise not received unless through an institutionalized setting. The program is designed to serve children and youth who require services to address emotional, behavioural, social and educational difficulties while living in your family environment.
SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Services Include; daily living skills, individual and group support, counselling, culturally and religious diverse programming, educational and familial support that secure positive outcomes, in-home qualified Child and Youth Worker/Clinical Support, individual counselling, and access to educational resources. The program staff are available to act as liaisons and support for the youth, the therapeutic caregiver and the larger community.
