Marine Service Technician with solid Gas/Diesel experience

Marisol Marine is a full-service facility involved in yacht sales, yacht maintenance, mechanical/electrical, yacht care, etc. We have been involved in many aspects in the marine industry since 1974. We have been North Vancouver's authorized Service Center for Volvo, Mercruiser, and Yanmar for over 40 years. Our 10,000 square foot facility is located at 1637 Columbia Street North Vancouver at the Lynnwood Marina complex by the Second Narrows bridge in North Vancouver.

Position Overview: As a Marine Service Technician / Marine Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of various marine vessels. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in working with both diesel and gas engines, possessing a strong understanding of marine mechanics and systems. Certifications for Volvo/Mercury engines would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities: • Conducting routine maintenance and inspections on marine engines, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues. • Performing repairs and overhauls on diesel and gas engines, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. • Conducting electrical diagnostics and repairs on marine systems and components. • Installing, servicing, and maintaining propulsion systems, steering mechanisms, and other related equipment. • Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of service tasks. • Providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner. • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements: • Proven experience as a Marine Service Technician or Marine Mechanic, with a strong focus on diesel and gas engines. • Knowledge and understanding of marine systems, including propulsion systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure good communication with our customers. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship. • Certifications for Volvo/Mercruiser engines would be advantageous. • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed. • Valid driver's license
