Looking for Places to Metal Detect - Will Share all Finds

Hello, I am a metal detectorist and history buff and I'm looking for places in Ontario to detect. The fastest way to reach me is by text at 905-410-4088, as I only check my emails every few hours.

Mainly older homes on properties built prior to 1950 or on land that use to have a house or had other early activity on it. I love finding items of local history that have been lost in the ground. Mostly what I find are old buttons, horse buckles, bells and farm relics and sometimes coins. I find anything in the ground that someone might have dropped or lost over the past 200 years. The province we live in is very old; consequently, I've found some very interesting items over the years. The thrill of finding items from those who came before us is very exciting for me! I'm 50 years old, live in Oshawa with my wife and daughter and I've been metal detecting for a number of years now. I have made new friends and have met some great people through this hobby as well.

I always respect the properties I search and leave them in the same or better condition. The items I find are no more than a few inches in the ground so there is NO need to dig large holes. It will look as if I was never there! I've also had the privilege of detecting items on abandoned properties. I have then located through research the family or the relatives of who owned the property. I've created shadowbox displays, which I then presented to the family members.

Consequently, the preservation of land and our local history is always first and foremost when I detect. I also offer my detection services in the community to any person, free of charge, to assist in finding lost personal items. Perhaps you or someone you know has lost jewelry or other valuables such as car keys or farm tools. Maybe need to find metal property markers, well caps or water main shutoff valves?
