Job Description:Job Description Job Title: Physical Fitness Professional Job Type: permanent, part-time Expected Hours: 26 hours per week Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour / non-commission-based salary Shift and Schedule: - Monday to Friday 6:00am – 8:00pm and Saturday 7:00am – 4:00pm - Must be able to work weekends as needed. - Flexible work schedules with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available. Location: Oakville, Ontario Job Description: The position as a Physical Fitness Professional will report directly to the Director of Strength & Conditioning. Job Duties and Responsibilities included, but not limited to: - Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-screening/testing, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training programs. - Provide personal training and programming for individual clients. - Demonstrate correct use of gym equipment. - Ensure clients feel competent, confident, and connected by providing excellent customer service. - Ensure gym equipment is clean and tidy before, during and after each class, including sanitization of equipment. - Handle member inquiries while providing information about our programs and packages. - Fulfil opening/closing gym responsibilities as per the company guidelines. - Perform any other duties requested by management from time on time. - Participate in training and skill development training as required. Education: - High School Diploma or GED required. - Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Sports Medicine, or another related field is an asset. Experience: - Training will be provided. - Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and a great communicator. - Must be self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and excellent at managing your own workload and deadlines. - 1+ years of personal or group training experience is an asset. - Experience with one-on-one coaching and group coaching is an asset. - Nutrition and lifestyle experience is an asset. License / Certifications: - Current CRP certificate is required. - Current Standard First Aid certificate is required. - Certified Personal Trainer is an asset. - AED certified is an asset. - Criminal Reference Check for Employment with a Vulnerable sector check (dated within the last three months) is required and needs to be renewed yearly.
