Board & Train Programs

Operant K9 Training offers in-home style board & train programs that are a perfect solution for the busy family! During your dogs program, we will train your dog to do various behaviours, while also working with you, in order to build reliability. We will help you create a closer relationship between you & your dog. Does a calm walk around the neighborhood sound like a dream? Wishing you could take your dog along for a worry-free off leash adventure? We’d love to help you! Going on vacation & wanting a little touch up on dogs training? Leave them with us! We can customize a training program specifically for you, & your dogs needs. A board & train program gives your dog multiple training sessions daily, preformed by a professional trainer. You will also have multiple private sessions over the course of your dogs program with us, to help transition all training, & reliability to you. We want to ensure you know what work will need to continue, once your dog comes home with you, in order to maintain their training, & level of reliability. During your dogs board & train stay, they will be treated like a member of our own pack! They will receive a minimum of 2-3 structured training sessions in a day to work on their building their new skills, and working on behavioural issues, if applicable. Throughout the day you dog will have continual informal training sessions, as they enjoy free time in the house & yard. They will go for lots of adventures in the neighborhood, on trips around the city, & to various local hiking trails. With owners permission, we allow for proper play & socialization with our pack! All of our board & train programs include the tools for your dogs training. Touch up board & trains are charged by the day, & do no include tools in the cost — they must be purchased separately by owners. Depending on which program your dog is here for you may have 1-2 private sessions during their program, & a follow up after your program. We only accommodate a limited amount of dogs at a time.
