We rescued Art from a high rate kill shelter in 2020. He is about 7 years old.
He is a great dog but requires an assertive owner to be the best dog he can be . He is crate trained, crated at night and when home alone . I would recommend continuing this habit . His recall is good when he is focused , but lacks impulse control. He will chase a deer / rabbit given the chance.
After almost 4 years of owning art we have come to the conclusion that he will be better suited for an only pet home .
He loves going for drives and absolutely loves swimming. He is great with people , not suited for a home with young kids . Medium lower energy , loves to get his exercise outside .
He knows how to sit, give paw , lay down, spin , and " wait " before eating his food .
