1. QUICK ACCELERATION WITH EXTRA TORQUE
A class-leading 0-20 mph heavy-load acceleration gives an edge over the competition. Also, Mercury’s transient spark technology results in an extra torque generation during the holeshot. The improved RPM from 5,200 to 6,000 allows you to select from a wide range of boat propeller pitches and quickly get to a top speed.

2. LARGE DISPLACEMENT WITH IMPROVED EFFICIENCY
The 150 Pro XS boasts the most significant displacement in the 150 HP outboard category. It is almost 5% more fuel-efficient than the 150 Pro XS 2.5L OptiMax engine.

3. IMPROVED MOUNT PACKAGE WITH PERFORMANCE GEARCASE
The new 150 HP Pro XS offers high-speed handling characteristics with performance-tuned mounts. The 2.08:1 gear ratio provides greater torque to the propeller shaft for quicker acceleration. The four extra water pickups on the nose of the gearcase offer a performance optimization without sacrificing water flow to cool down the engine.

4. SMOOTHER EXECUTION
The lower seat and helm vibration than the nearest 150 HP counterparts increase overall boat performance. Besides, the engine withstands better corrosion, even in the rigours of saltwater conditions.

This engine perfectly suits the bass boats, offshore fishing vessels, and runabout boats.
