We are looking for a dynamic IT Asset Analyst to coordinate ITAM activity and implement best practices across the organization to reduce life cycle cost, risk, and support audit controls for all IT hardware and software assets deployed.

Your Responsibilities:

IT Materials & Storeroom Management

  • Shipping & receiving of IT materials, tracking acquisition in ServiceNow & Lotus Notes against purchase orders and service requests. Pack/unpack, store, as well as appropriately asset tagging all required materials prior to distribution
  • Manage IT stockroom materials. This includes: day to day inventory tracking and reporting, maintenance of appropriate inventory levels, distribution of materials to appropriate IT staff, and ordering additional supplies, parts and equipment (submits request to purchase [RTP] for IT stock hardware requests)
  • Partner with Mail Services & Enterprise Procurement to track down missing shipments as well as discrepancies in invoices, receipts, shipping counts, and material receipt quality
  • Fill customer orders from the stockroom shelves, including packing and preparing the materials for shipment. Issue IT hardware and software to Deskside Support for distribution. Reinforces proper removal of IT equipment and tracking in asset management systems
  • Ensure that quantities in the IT asset management inventory database are accurate. Generate asset tracking reports as needed
  • Coordinate disposal of IT equipment, ensuring guideline regarding the dissemination of information and the destruction of data are followed. Ensure that disposed of equipment is received by our destruction vendor and certificates of disposal are recorded
  • Assist with device refresh efforts on a quarterly basis (collection of equipment, packaging & shipping)
IT Request Processing

  • Shared inbox management (daily triaging of customer and vendor emails)
  • Document and assign requests/tasks to the appropriate support teams including any gathered requirements and analysis to support the fulfillment of requested software and hardware
  • Coordinate order processing with Enterprise Procurement, Deskside Support & budget owner, ensuring collaboration amongst stakeholders that adheres to the life cycle processes and reduces the cost and risk of assets being deployed
IT Configuration Management (CMDB) and Asset Database Maintenance

  • Performs asset data maintenance, generates and analyzes reports
  • Generates asset tracking reports and forecasts as needed for planning and budgeting
  • Assists with licensing and compliance activities and reporting
  • Supports the growth, development and health of the data in the CMDB
Additional Responsibilities

· Identify areas for operational improvement, leveraging research and relevant industry trends

· Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders

· Create, document and maintain standard operating procedures, training documents and FAQs

Your Skills and Experience

· A university degree or college diploma, preferably with a focus on Information Technology

· ITIL V3 Foundations, processes and tools

· Minimum2 years of IT asset management (or related) experience

· Working knowledge and experience with ServiceNow or a leading IT service management tool

· Knowledge of budgeting, financial management and vendor management

· Proficiency in process formulation and improvement

· IT storeroom work is physically demanding and may require workers to bend and assume awkward positions and lift heavy materials from the IT storeroom shelves
