As I’m sure you are aware, it is becoming increasingly important to have WETT compliance inspections on homes with wood burning stoves or fireplaces during Real-Estate transactions. Most insurance companies require an inspection by a certified WETT professional before a buyer can get fully approved for home insurance.
As an Agent representing a purchaser or vendor of a residential property or a buyer or seller of a home, you will need to rely on a qualified WETT inspector with many years of experience.
I have been in this industry for over 30 years. I was the owner of a hearth products company in Brockville Ontario from 1985-1997. Subsequent to that I have been consulting in the service and inspection side of the industry. I am also on the National Board of Directors for WETT INC.
I presently concentrate solely on inspection and remedial work in Eastern Ontario. My certification credentials include the highest level of certification:
• Master Technician
• Master Sweep
• SITE Basic Inspector
• SITE Comprehensive Inspector.
Please feel free to share my contact information with your colleagues. I can usually respond to a request for inspection within 24 hours and can provide in that time a verbal response to indicate whether there are issues with the installation - which means your sale will not be held up.
A full written report includes: a descriptive cover sheet, installation checklists and photos in digital format. This may take up to 48 hours.
Most inspections are “Level 1”. Please visit my Website http://wett-inspector.ca/ or http://michaelrousseau.homestars.com/ for reviews and other useful information. I will always inform clients of the scope, purpose and process involved in the inspection.
