This 2005 Mercedes Unimog U500 only had 23,000 km when it was converted into an extreme expedition vehicle by the US well known company Global Expedition Vehicles (GXV - https://www.globalxvehicles.com/ ) in the US in 2010. Both its equipment and more specifically its off-road capabilities have been improved significantly after being bought by the current and single owner. everything, and that is not easy, has been though, designed, and implemented to be used by a single person, even in/and for some special situations (for example changing a tire - almost impossible otherwise - or using the backside winch).

Both the Unimog and the housing module are almost new. The truck is the top-of-the-range version of the Unimog U500 with all optional equipment, including left-hand right-hand drive. It currently has 29,500 km (guaranteed with documentation). The house has been used for 3 months. It has never been used off-road, only 5,000 km on the road in Europe. It has everything necessary for expeditions with maximum equipment’s for great autonomy. All of them are high-end, and the essential systems (heat, electricity, hot water) are redundant or in triplicate, being prepared to reach remote places, where there is no assistance or services. It does not use gas to avoid incompatible systems from different countries. It is 125 V and 220 V, then worldwide capable, with 2 Outback high-end chargers/inverters.

It is worth knowing that it is not a simple campervan, not even a luxury one. But, in this forum and here at Expedition Portal, I'm sure everybody knows precisely what we are talking about, and even better when you will see all info !!. It is something else: an exceptional high-end vehicle, designed for long-distance and long-duration expeditions, with an unprecedented level of autonomy and off-road capabilities.

European Union (originally USA) registration, with all the necessary approval. Does not require tachograph even if tit still has its original USA one. Requires driving license C (heavy truck) in Europe. Specific and attractive sales conditions (to be agreed).
