CS27 Cruising Sailboat - Sapphire

The CS 27 was built strong enough for some serious sailing. Sapphire is a fast boat that points very well into the wind for racing. She’s also very steady to provide plenty of assurance for family cruising, with real adult sized space below decks. She comes with an inboard 15 hp Yanmar diesel engine, double lifelines, 130 genoa, Rocna 22lb anchor, custom made 6" thick fore cabin mattress from Anchors Away Boat Bedding, two speed winches and a 5.8 cubic foot icebox.

The genoa upgrade has made a HUGE difference sailing Sapphire and was the best upgrade possible for the boat. Often the same speed can be obtained with the genoa alone, as with both genoa and main. Her top speed is about 7 knots; in good wind she keeps up 6 knots nicely and she also sails well in light winds at 3/4 knots.
