What is the opportunity?

In this position, you will provide support, advice and coaching to commercial leaders to increase skills, knowledge and effectiveness. You will integrate and align National Office Sales Support direction with local market imperatives to facilitate the delivery of a differentiated client experience. You will also support development and execution of robust sales activity plans.

What will you do?

  • Act as subject matter expert key sales levers – coaching, skill building, sales management, sales activity planning, performance management, local market acquisition activities, advice tools, and Observational Coaching. Provides coaching and development to RVP&'s, VP&'s CFS, Regional Manager Sales Support, Director Senior Financing Specialist
  • Coach VP’s, Commercial on the right balance of activities among clients, prospects, and centers of influences
  • Embed and sustain initiatives in the context of the Commercial Financial Services Sales Experience
  • Promote delivery of a coordinated client contact strategy involving the CFS relationship team, including our sales support team and referrals to RBC partners
  • Collaborate with the regional leadership team to identify opportunities in sales performance and provide prioritized and targeted support to enhance performance
  • Act as a point of integration for markets and national office groups, gathering feedback and formalizing a listening post environment for VP’s and national office to enable the sharing of best practices and emerging trends
  • Identify and share best practices to avoid region/market duplication of effort/local customization


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Previous experience within Commercial Financial Services markets
  • Strong business and organizational knowledge as well as planning and implementing capabilities
  • Knowledge/experience across Personal & Commercial Banking within markets supported, including sales management, direct sales, and operational expertise
  • Strong impact and influence competencies
  • Expert knowledge of coaching and change management
  • Strong knowledge and comfort in using and leveraging technology
  • University degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
