Everyone knows the print industry has gone through a decline, but the claims that “Print is Dead” are actually dead wrong. Many companies doing a lot of tradeshows, events and in-person sales, still find that attractive print collateral is critical to their success.
The disruption and consolidation in the print industry has actually provided an amazing opportunity. As many of the large print companies have had to reorganize their offerings, there is confusion and difficulty for small and medium sized businesses to easily get great printing at affordable prices.
That’s where we come in –Direction Printing & Communications is a nimble print management company that is growing fast because we’re helping meet the print needs of SMB’s. We’re the experts who helpfully guide them through their printing jobs and provide “wow” customer service and competitive pricing. 
And now, we’re looking to looking for an additional account executive to help us spur that growth even faster. Your goal in this position is to learn the print business, find new clients, and manage their accounts with high satisfaction to earn repeat orders. We have some prospecting strategies that have resulted in people earning over $100k, and if you have other proven or smart tactics, we’re open to how you find and engage clients.

Who We’re Looking For
Maybe you’re coming from another sales role and are looking for flexibility, camaraderie, and support that comes with working for a smaller company. Maybe you’re newer to sales, and are looking for a place to build a career. Either way, you’re: 
Consultative  – clients will trust and value your insights because you take a consultative approach in your meetings by practicing active listening and then providing smart solutions. 
Organized – you understand that staying top of mind is essential for your sales success and you will create processes for yourself to organize all your prospecting, follow up & relationship building activities.
Driven to do prospecting – you see obstacles as opportunities, you use plans that don’t work as a springboard for learning and you’re willing to do whatever it takes to find people you can help with our services.
To do the job you must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to visit clients for occasional meetings. Beyond that we’re more interested in personality traits, drive for results, and culture-fit, than specific experience. That being said, we do think people with some of the following have a better chance of great success:

Experience working successfully in sales or customer service
Experience winning new B2B clients through prospecting
Experience with the sales of marketing products/services (e.g. print, radio, advertising, SEO)
Experience working in a small company / small team environment
Degree or Diploma

Compensation
This full-time position works Monday to Friday from our office in Kitchener. There is base compensation plus an uncapped commission plan, with a target total compensation in the first year of between $50,000 and $80,000. Because there is no cap we have had people earn over $100k as they build a strong base of clients.
