The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team of marketing professionals in a role with the opportunity to impact and influence our operations to bring it to a new level of excellence. The successful candidate will assist in delivering high quality and meaningful reports along with supporting programs aimed at improving and streamlining processes across the Marketing department. This role will also support marketing departmental governance to drive cross functional connectivity and effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Reporting (60%)
    • Work with the Manager, Marketing Operations to maintain and deliver a variety of executive level and department wide reports and prepare presentations when necessary
    • Manipulate and format data into customer-centric reports and dashboards
    • Develop and adhere to team work effort tracking tools; conduct analysis of data to manage resource requirements
    • Ability to deconstruct and solve problems, sometimes with little or no precedent, scope work and propose appropriate analysis to standardize a solution
    • Perform root cause analysis to identify task specific versus systemic problems
    • Work with internal business partners to gather reporting requirements
    • Apply business knowledge about customer&'s marketing plans to provide relevant analysis and commentary
    • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from the department on specific projects
  • Data Quality, Process and Tool Management (15%)
    • Work with Manager, Marketing Operations to develop and refine processes that impact data quality and reporting capabilities
    • Define and build team reporting standards
    • Create documentation of business processes and provide training on new or enhanced processes, when required
    • Implement quality audit functions with the team and provide peer coaching, when required
    • Help maintain the departments project intake tool and provide training and data quality reporting
  • Governance Coordination (15%)
    • Coordinate, gather and develo material for departmental presentations
    • Coordinate larger department meetings focused on planning or process improvement, and prepare materials in advance
    • Assist the team on large and complex internal projects (project coordination, meetings to gather requirements, etc.)
    • Coordinate issues related to reporting and processes with relevant stakeholders - IT and business
    • Attend team or planning meetings to discuss any relevant issues affecting data quality and processes
  • Change Management (10%)
    • Collaborate continuously with team members to identify and implement processes improvements, in order to enhance efficiency and productivity
    • Ensure new processes are adopted correctly and that user adoption is a success, particularly as it impacts final reports


What it Takes:

  • Well versed in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel features such as vlookups, if statements and pivot tables
  • Ability to identify patterns by analyzing and manipulating large data sets and strategize solutions
  • Experience summarizing business problems clearly and concisely and developing professional looking reports and presentations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet quick turnaround times
  • Communicating progress, trends to leaders
  • Collaborative, analytical and solutions-oriented
  • Self-starter, skilled in time management and prioritizing work
  • Detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy
  • Highly motivated team player with 3-5 years of experience
  • Previous experience in Marketing Operations, Sales Operations or in a Reporting Analyst role is an asset


Education and Experience:

  • College or University degree with 3-5 years of experience or a Master&'s degree with 2 years experience
