Assistant Store Manager

Essential Details and Responsibilities:
Support the execution of sales, service, and customer experience initiatives in store.
Assist in driving results to achieve Sales, KPIs and Store Performance goals.
Partner with the Store Manager to plan and execute community events and develop mutually beneficial business relationships with various rescue agencies.
Partner with the Store Manager to coordinate the recruitment and hiring of Animal Care Experts (ACEs).
Support the day-to-day assignment of tasks while training and developing ACEs for future success within Pet Retail Brands.
Assist the Store Manager with order placements, maintaining appropriate inventory, floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, housekeeping and miscellaneous paperwork.
Support the completion of the store’s Health & Safety audits.
Protect employees and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment.
Experience, Education, Certifications:
At least 3+ years in retail environment
Working knowledge of POS system
Demonstrated interpersonal & sales skills
