2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000

For sale is my 2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000. I have owned this bike for a year, putting 18,000 of the 36,000 km's on it. At the end of last summer I put 2 new Shinko 705 Dual Sport tires on the rims. This bike handles great on the roads of any surface, dirt, gravel, and especially the ashpalt! The Versys 1000 shares the same fuel injected in-line 4 engine as the Z1000 and the Ninja 1000, although tuned differently. At 1043cc's, 116hp and 75.2 ft-lbs of torque, It is an animal on the ashpalt! The bike has Kawsaki's engine management system that allows a rider to control power output and feel the engine. You have the option of switching from Full to Low power, which reduces peak engine output to around 65 N-m (89 hp) and softens the throttle’s response. Traction control (KTRC) has 4 settings, 1 for dry, solid pavement, 2 for loose gravel and 3 for wet roads, or you can turn it off completely. It also has ABS brakes. This not an Adventure bike, which is why I'm selling it, I have bought a true ADV bike. But, this bike has changed the way I ride. Roads I used to look at and wonder where they went, I now know, because this bike can take you down them. It comes with: Givi V46 top case OEM hard side cases KOSO Appolo heated grips Aux LED lights LED headlight duel port USB with Voltmeter GPS mounting bar above the dash Bark busters Storage cover Risers on the bars, they are 1.5" above stock, easy to remove if you don't like it. Chain was replaced last summer, wheel bearings when the tires were changed, brake fluid was changed. I put a gel insert in the seat for comfort. This winter the exhaust was powder coated, I had not planned to replace it just yet. It has some bumps and bruises, nothing major, but it's not new. Before I bought the bike, it sat a lot. I don't let my bikes sit, they are meant to be ridden, and this bike is soooooo much fun to ride. This bike is ready to ride, should need nothing for a safety, but is being sold "as is" No trades If the ad is up, it is available.
