I am the original owner of this bike, and bought it brand-new in 2012. It is an incredibly fun and versatile machine, and runs just as great as when I first picked it up from the shop.
This motorcycle and I have shared some incredible adventures together, including long-distance touring, on and off-road escapades, and in ranges of temperatures ranging from 45°C to -20°C.
I had the luck to experience everything that this motorcycle is capable of, and regardless of what kind of riding you are looking to do, you are really in for a treat. It's the ultimate versatile motorcycle; whatever you throw at it, it will perform.
In terms of the displacement, this is pretty much the perfect size; big enough that I've never once felt I didn't have enough power (even while loaded with gear and a passenger) but small enough to keep the bike nimble. As mentioned, this bike comes with the BMW lowered seat, which is ideal for shorter people, or if you want to make sure to comfortably be able to plant your foot on the ground while stopped.
This motorcycle has been tremendously loved, and has not missed a single maintenance since I purchased it. (I have kept records of every visit to the shop that you are more than welcome to take a look at if you are interested in the machines history.) It has only been maintained at BMW dealerships.
The included panniers and top-case are a great addition, and are top-notch BMW quality; they served me very well as a "trunk" while this was my only vehicle, and daily commuter for many years. The Panniers are especially handy as they feature a neat little mechanism which allows them to grow or contract to your liking depending on if you prefer a sleeker profile or more carrying capacity. The top-case is additionally great if you're planning on carrying passengers, as they can comfortably and safely lean against it while riding.
I've also mounted a Rotopax Mount to the TopCase, which allows you to lock on a fuel pack which is great if you're looking to go on adventures and want to squeeze in some extra miles, or simply want some extra peace-of-mind.
The tires are fairly new as well, and should last you quite a while more.
The only reason I'm selling is because I'm looking to transition to a sidecar motorcyle so that I can continue riding when it snows out. I really hope this finds a new owner who will continue to enjoy this bike as much as I have, and take it on new adventures.
No requests for trades please (unless you have a Ural Gear-Up you're looking to part with).
