Star Trek RPG Mega Set
I have a large collection of material from FASA’s 1980s vintage Star Trek: The Role Playing Game I’m willing to sell for the right price, either in two lots, or as one large lot. The first lot is the game itself + several expansions + about a dozen adventure books and supplements. The second lot is the starship combat game plus four ship manuals. The condition of the material ranges from Good to Like New: see the specific description of each item below. The first edition rules and a few adventures have neat (ruler edged) underlining; pretty well all the other booklets look brand new inside.
1. Star Trek: The Role Playing Game.
This game was published by FASA in the 1980s, based on the original series and the movies and novels that came out of it. It contains a lot of speculation about the background of the Federation, of Starfleet, and of various alien species. FASA aggressively supported it throughout the decade with expansions and adventures until they were done in by the popularity of video games. Not just a game, but also a great resource for Star Trek fans.
The original game. The box and rulebook are worn though undamaged, in Good condition. The map and counters are Like New. Also includes blueprints for a Federation Constitution-class cruiser and a Klingon D-7 (Very Good), several base game adventures, a homemade gamemaster’s reference screen, photocopies of charts and character sheets. The counters are sorted in a plastic tray.
The second edition of the game: the box is Good, the three rules booklets are Very Good. Also includes a gamemaster screen. This was a stripped-down version of the original game, without the blueprints or big thick rulebook.
The Klingons expansion, in Very Good condition (the box is scuffed a bit).
The Romulans expansion, in a fold-out cover (Very Good+).
The early adventures Denial of Destiny and Witness for the Defense (Very Good).
An interactive Tricorder/Ship’s Sensors Display (Very Good).
Two more adventures in fan-fold covers: the Gorn-themed Demand of Honor and the Orion-themed Margin of Profit (both Very Good).
The campaign rules booklets Trader Captains and Merchant Princes (Very Good) and The Triangle (Like New), along with a nice map of the Triangle (Like New).
The late adventures The Mines of Selka and Return to Axanar along with the companion campaign booklet The Four Year’s War (all Like New).
The Klingon adventures A Matter of Priorities and Termination 1456 (Like New).
Dozens of photocopies of game charts, maps and characters sheets.
All told: 2 base games, 2 alien species expansions, 1 supplement, 3 campaign books, 8 full-fledged adventures. Hundreds of hours of Trek fun.
2. Star Trek III: The Starship Combat Role Playing Game.
This game can be played independently of the main RPG or used to play out starship encounters. Played much less than the original game. Contains:
The main game, including a hex map (Like New), counters sorted in a plastic box (Like New, includes 100+ homemade counters copied from booklets), rules (Very Good), Control Panel sheets (Like New). The box is Good (a bit banged up).
The Ship Construction Manual (Very Good).
The Federation Ship Recognition Manual (Like New).
The Klingon Ship Recognition Manual (Like New).
The Romulan Ship Recognition Manual (Very Good).
The main game + 4 manuals + extra counters and photocopies for $125..
$245 CAN for the role-playing game and extras, $95 for the starship combat game, $330 for both
