We are looking for a Videographer to help prepare a video of the 3 Alarm Choir singing "Tragedy" (originally by The Bee Gees) at The Junction in Peterborough on Monday, Aug. 29th.
We have equipment (good camera and tripod and possible volunteers) but it would be great to have a more experienced videographer film the singing of the final song between 9:15 and 9:35 pm pm after the rehearsing is done.
Does anyone know someone? Could be a film student? Please get in touch with David McRobert at 647 234 4677 or email@example.com
There is good news. I think we are going to merge with another choir, the 3 Alarm Choir run by Linda Clark. They had a couple of performances late last summer. It doesn't make sense to me to reinvent the wheel. They already are doing what we want to do and doing it well.
I am not clear if we will go ahead with our meeting on August 15th; if we do, Linda has agreed to come and explain what they did last year. She is eager to engage new energy and support, perhaps with folks who can transcribe the Choir Choir Choir arrangements.
The next performance of 3 Alarm Choir will be at 7 pm at The Junction, 2nd floor, on Monday, Aug. 29th. The Junction is located on George Street between King and Sherbrooke Streets. It can accommodate 150-200 people. Last year they had more than 100 people attend at one event.
The song is "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees. The arrangement will be based on Choir Choir Choir.
Admission will be $5 to purchase the lyric sheet. The venue manager and Linda are asking guests to support the event by purchasing beverages, non-alcoholic and alcoholic.
As noted above, the organizer is Linda Clark and her guitarist is Luke Burton.
Here are songs they have performed in past years at The Canoe and Paddle in Lakefield
