This is a rare opportunity. This cabin sits on 180 feet of some of the absolute best lakefront on the entire Shuswap Lake. It has an absolutely stunning view to the west which allows you to eat your dinners on the large deck while soaking in views of incredible sunsets over the lake (see photos). This cabin is accessed via a gated private road so has no busy public road passing between the cabin and the beach area like 98+ % of the so-called “lakefront” cottages on Shuswap Lake. It's also a rare find because there are actually very few cabins on the lake that have a westerly view. If you look at the map of the lake (see photos) you will see that because of the way the lake is tilted, 99+% of the lakefront properties will have either have a northwest or a southeast view, depending on what side of the lake they’re on. There are very, very few properties on the entire lake that have a west view like this one has and only a tiny percentage of those properties ever become available to rent. The place is located in Wild Rose Bay, approximately 45 minutes north of Salmon Arm (see map).

This cabin has been in a single family since it was built 47 years ago. It had NEVER been rented out to anyone until a few years ago when it was passed down to its current owner who needs to rent it out for a few weeks a year to help cover the operating and upkeep costs. The goal is to find a few reliable families to rent the place for a few weeks during the summer. If they work out to be good renters and take excellent care of the place, they will be invited to and given first opportunity to rent the place in subsequent years. If they keep coming back year after year, there will be zero or very limited opportunities for anyone else to rent the place unless someone opts out of their week(s) one year. If you get in this year, you will become part of an exclusive few who ever get to rent a property of this quality on Shuswap Lake.

Anyone wishing to apply MUST be able to provide references. We are not going through a management company which keeps your costs down but we will be VERY particular and careful about whom we rent to.
