Real English Sixpence Keepsake for the Bride on her Wedding Day
- English Sixpence for her Shoe- Lucky Bridal Sixpence Coin.
This is real British currency coin. It has been circulated and some wear and tear should be expected. The English Sixpence was minted until 1971 and was considered legal tender until 1980.
Included is a 2"x 3" blue card which reads (front):
Something Blue.. And a Silver Sixpence in her Shoe!
Back of the card reads:
Tradition states that if a Bride wears a Sixpence in her Shoe on her Wedding Day that her Marriage will be blessed with Wealth and Prosperity.
It is customary for the sixpence to be presented to the bride by her Father on her wedding day. In the hustle and bustle it can be forgotten by Dad so it often falls to the Mother of the Bride or even the Maid of Honour to think of this detail.
This Keepsake Sixpence presentation-ready and can be mailed to the bride, inserted into a Bridal Shower Card or given to her in the moments before she walks down the aisle.
Cost per Sixpence is $5 CDN. Available for pickup in Ingersoll Ontario or can be shipped (Canada Post) across Canada for an extra $1 fee. Contact to arrange pickup or delivery. I will mail within 24 hours of payment.
