We are a boutique Property Management firm with almost 40 years of experience in the industry seeking a Commercial Property Manager to join our experienced team. Our portfolio includes Residential, Commercial & Industrial/Mixed Use located throughout Ontario!
Preferred candidates would be expected to handle the following:
• Rent collection & Arrears Management
• Cost management of operating expenses
• Marketing and leasing of units of retail units.
• Meeting rent revenue targets
• Purchase Order Processing and Contractor Management
• Work Order Processing and Administration
• Preparation of lease and renewal documentation
• Lease renewals
• Lease Administration
• Lease set up, charge backs and adjustments in Yardi
• Assisting with the leasing and marketing of vacant spaces;
• Coordinate with listing brokers
• Tenant Liaison
• Maintenance Management
• Client Management
• Management Reporting
• Supervision and management of assigned staff
• On-Call response to after-hours emergencies as required
• Assist with account analysis and A/R collection
• Assist with budgeting and year-end recoveries
• Property Management office administration including distributing correspondence to tenants, filing, answering phones
• Other assignments within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as reasonable requested from time to time by management.
• Please note this is an in-office position.
To thrive in this role, the candidate must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:
• Five (3-5) years experience in Property Management.
• Minimum of three (3) years Commercial Property Management experience.
• Strong Lease Negotiations skills.
• Strong Contract Management & Trade Supervision.
• Experience with YARDI would be a strength,
• Solid Analytical Strengths. Ability to apply logic and reasoning to effectively manage projects, analyze complex financial, legal and contractual problems and to provide solutions or recommendations,
• Enthusiastic leadership. Enjoys leading by example.
• Proven ability to identify, evaluate and develop new ideas with supportable results,
• Effective Negotiation skills to influence and impact at all levels – senior management, peers, direct and indirect reports,
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify risk, thereby mitigating liability
• Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Reliable Vehicle required for traveling to various sites with a 407 transponder.
