Job Description:Mercana is looking for additional experienced E-commerce Managers to join our growing team. Our demand for online sales has grown exponentially and we need additional individuals to support the growing Online Digital Sales Team. Our eCommerce Managers are focused on managing sales, assortments, promotions, events, marketing activities and channel strategy across a group of digital retail ecommerce channels. A typical day for the eCommerce Manager is focused on driving sales, optimizing ecommerce content, analyzing ecommerce business KPIs, understanding the online retail landscape including competitive offerings, and leading business initiatives to ultimately grow category sales with your ecommerce portfolio. The eCommerce Manager is the leading authority at Mercana with respect to online customer experience with our ecommerce channel partners. The eCommerce Manager demonstrates a passion for online retail business models, matching the strengths of Mercana to the strengths of our ecommerce channel partners. They possess strong business acumen, proven relationship building skills and an “entrepreneurial” attitude to competitive challenges and growth opportunities. The eCommerce Manager shows leadership when interacting with cross-functional groups across the organization. He/she will clearly articulate their vision for expanding assortments with ecommerce customers providing feedback and analytics to support. He/she will be a leader in launching new categories, products and derivatives which the organization may also leverage for other channels. Responsibilities Understanding current and prospective retail ecommerce business issues, needs and buying motives. Assort the maximum amount of product that achieves the maximum amount of sales results. Analysis of business KPIs to gain insights on their customer behavior Demonstrate strong knowledge and expertise in products and categories Works in tandem with cross-functional teams, including Design, Marketing, IT, Customer Service and Warehouse to provide insights and proposals for best in class online experiences for all sales, campaigns and initiatives. Provide recommendations to enhance Mercana content (specs, descriptions, photography etc.) that can be used online and could be used for other customer channels. Manage MAP (Minimum Advertised Pricing) and MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices) for the online channel that aligns with all Mercana customer channels. Leverages web analytics to make informed, fact-based decisions. Analyze data from online campaigns: user response, web site conversions, feature usage, attrition rates Provide detailed monthly and quarterly results overviews to management Represent Mercana Furniture & Decor in a professional manner with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Build trust, loyalty and solid long-term eCommerce Manager relationships with key decision-makers. Help establish Mercana as a top tier player with each organization we do business with. Monitor regular reports for market share, visitation and revenue performance from major search channels, uncover new opportunities and act on any red flags Share your ideas by actively participating in regular sales meetings and fulfill required sales administrative duties (CRM) to support your role. Attend Trade shows building rapport with new and existing ecommerce buyers. Support other customers on behalf of fellow colleagues. Travel to trade shows up to 8 times per year and 4-6 days each show depending on show’s operational needs. Travel to visit key customers when required. Take a leadership role within the organization when it come to retailer compliance. (Packaging, quality, speed to market etc.) Business lead for Special Projects to enhance multi-channel customer experience and sales goals Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.Highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.Experience with trade show or retail floor management.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in as a team player.Ability to work at both sales and operational levels.Multitasker and fast pacedHighly skilled with presentation based sellingResults oriented, deal maker, problem solverFrench or Spanish are an assetProficient with CRM tools and other sales technology.Ability to understand and use basic management accounting Base salary (depending on experience) plus bonus based on sales target achievement.
