FirstOnSite is looking for an experienced & hard-working District Operations Manager (OM) to be part of our growing Corporate team!

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager is to carry out the mission, plans and initiatives as set out by the Director of Operations in conjunction with the Senior Management team, in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the Company’s strategic plan. The Operations Manager primary focus in on service delivery (KPI’s) and Gross Profit maximization. They will provide training to the Project and Construction Managers as well as analytical review of large project estimates and completed jobs which did not achieve target.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • OM will support the BM’s to ensure a top notch team of PM’s and CM’s are trained and equipped to get optimal results.
  • Support that the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed for FOS personnel and sub contractors (in as much as they are connected to that).
  • Highly focused on GP margin targets for the branches (in partnership with BM and Dir. Of Ops.)
  • Shared responsibility with BM for meeting branch GP targets.
  • Ensures draws are planned on large projects.
  • Conducts exception invoice review.
  • Reviews closed low margin jobs.
  • Approves high value estimates.
  • From time to time as items are identified in job reviews, the OM will work in partnership with Business Development & Operations to influence customers SLA’s and KPI’s, including negotiation and analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Restoration Industry.
  • Proven job related success in a project/construction management role.
  • College Diploma in Business Administration or Finance or certification in a recognized trade; or combination of relevant training courses in related fields and relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of the academic requirements.
  • IICRC certifications. WRT, SMRT, AMRT, ASD
  • Skilled at planning, directing, supervising and coordinating.
  • Working knowledge of Xactanalysis & Xactimate
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
