Transportation Accounting Clerk

Shaan Trucklines based in Mississauga, ON. We are currently looking for individual who is bilingual in English / Punjabi. Perform various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of the operating unit.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Accounts Payable and Receivables. • Post customer invoices, check and verify accuracy of name, amounts and date • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data entry. • Organize records of invoices, bills and deposits • Investigate and resolve all variances and discrepancies in a timely manner • Assist in running month-end process and work with others in the organization to minimize structural margin loss prior to month close • Ensure ongoing and effective communication with Office Personal, Drivers, and Clients. • Perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned
• Ability to multi-task and have a team player attitude • Ablity to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information and explain variances. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. • 1-3 years of experience in the transportation industry. • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel • Strong planning and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Flexible to adjust to changes in responsibilities, procedures, or working conditions. • Critical nature of this job may require extended hours • The compensation package is competitive based on market and experience.
