Purpose: Oversees the Regions training program execution, including ensuring compliance to company polices and
best practices, trainer performance, TrainerHub adoption, and overall new driver on-boarding process. Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures standard execution of company training programs per training program guidance and related
operating procedures. Ensures that plans are in place and that best practices are employed across
the region. - Confirms trainer staffing levels meet minimum staffing recommendations for each locations, supports
location in selecting and training trainer staff, and manages compliance of Full Time trainer job duties. - Support the Trainer Certification Process by helping locations navigate the process for training a new
trainer. - Support the management of the candidate pipeline at each location by regular review of TrainerHub
ongoing training dashboard and spot-check of active training records. - Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and Company policy.
- Assist locations with mitigation of challenges with training program processes, candidate on-boarding
practices, and candidate retention. - Observes and coaches training center operations throughout the Region. Reports opportunities for
improvement and best practices to respective TCM, AGM and SVP as appropriate. - Collaborates with all TCMs to ensure all best practices are engaged.
- Assists or coaches TCMs in the designs and developments of need-based local training (as needed).
- Maintains chedule for trainer evaluations, validate all trainer evaluations are current and complete,
and performance improvement coaching is in place. - Performs Training Program Reviews on an annual basis at each location in the region, identifying
areas of opportunities and setting action plans and goals with locations for improvement. - Other duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred
- 4 to 6 years previous management experience.
- 4 to 6 years transportation, safety or related experience
- 2 to 4 years training experience
- Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with
employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union
officials and general public - Fluent in English
- Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Possess working vehicle to travel with in service area as needed
