Senior Accountant CPA Required

Job Description:Job Description As a Senior Accountant, you will support the day-to-day functions of the accounting department including accounts payable, customer billings and general accounting. Supporting financial statement preparation, month-end closing, and the development and execution of improved processes, controls, system capabilities and reporting of KPI’s is also key in this role. You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in Canada, the US and in our international subsidiaries. Key responsibilities:Support the accounts payable team in developing solutions to external vendor and internal customer service issuesReview accounts payable & accounts receivable transactionsPrepare monthly balance sheet & revenue reconciliations as required, investigate, and resolve any unusual entries and variances, prepare related period end journal entries, and recurring journal entriesSupport financial reporting preparation & month end closing activitiesAssist with analyzing IFRS rules, indicating impacts on the business and providing recommendationsMaintenance of the accounting system and financial controlsSupport the facilitation of the annual external auditProvide oversight and detailed financial review of local and international subsidiaries Requirements We are looking for someone with the following: Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems, a mind for continuous improvement and system functionality enhancement.
