A genuine pre-CBS 1963 Fender Blonde Bandmaster piggyback rig, one of the most tonally distinctive amplifiers Leo Fender ever produced and a legitimate piece of American musical history. The head runs the 6G7-A circuit: 40 watts, two 6L6 power tubes, and Fender's legendary true-pitch phaser vibrato — a short-lived circuit unique to the Blonde-era Bandmaster that no pedal has ever convincingly replicated. Clean and crystalline at lower volumes, it opens into harmonically rich tube overdrive above 5 with a dynamic, touch-sensitive response that rewards the player. The matching 2x12 cabinet is loaded with its original Oxford 12L6N Alnico speakers, date-coded to 1962 — period-correct and confirmed stock for this cabinet. Transformers: Both the output transformer (Schumacher 125C1A, date-coded to the 27th week of 1963) and power transformer are original and matching — a critical detail for serious collectors that is increasingly rare to find intact on a 62-year-old amplifier. Cosmetics: Both head and cabinet present in very good condition for their age. Original blonde tolex intact on both pieces with expected light patina. Original wheat grillcloth present and intact on both head and cabinet. Faceplate clean, all knobs present and original. Electronics: In October 2025 the amp received a full professional rebuild at C4 Sound Works, Edmonton (invoice included): all tubes tested, one matched Sovtek 6L6 replaced, AC power cord replaced and rewired, screen grid resistors replaced, bias cap replaced, all contacts, controls, jacks and switches electronically cleaned.
